This sculpture is a portrait of my own cat Picky (short for Michaelmas) don't ask me how it got shortened to that name, but anyone who understands cats will have a good guess!  She is a small and pettit cat, but lords it over the other larger male cats that I have.  She often sits in this very demure classically egyptian pose, so after a visit to the British Museum where I was stunned by the elegant egyptian sculptures of cats I decided that I would sculpt Picky in that pose.
I have shown a group of two and three for this photo as they look so cute in groups.  But she is equally appealing on her own.  Each piece is cast and individually finished by me.  She is frost proof and weather proof and the patinas are permanent and colourfast.  She is made in a cast stone with bronze/black patina and a graphite polish (which is weatherproof and colourfast). Colours vary from a dark bronze to a brown black colour.  Each piece is made individally.
